Description:Pargus Auratus or Snapper are coloured from pinkish silver to red. Juvenile snapper have bright blue spots on the body that fade as the fish matures and the red colour gets darker. Bigger Snapper can have a large bony hump on the front of the head and a fleshy bulge on their snout. Snapper are considered an excellent table fish and can be a good sports fish. Snapper are also known as squire, cockney bream and reddies which are the names of juvenile snapper during the different stages of their lifecycle.
